Common questions

Everything you need to know about SHA membership.

When does my membership expire? +
All memberships run from 1 September to 31 August, regardless of when you join. If you join mid-season, you pay the full annual fee and your membership is valid until 31 August of that season.
How do I renew my membership? +
You'll receive email reminders before the season ends. Click the renewal link in the email and pay — no need to re-enter your details. Renewals open around July each year.
Can I compete without a membership? +
You can enter events as a non-member, but a $20 non-member surcharge applies per event registration and your results won't count towards seasonal rankings or titles.
What if my family has more than 4 riders? +
Purchase a family membership for 4 members, then add individual memberships for any additional family members. Contact us and we'll link them to your family group.
Do I need a birth certificate for junior members? +
Yes. All members under 18 need to upload a copy of their birth certificate during registration. This is used to verify age group eligibility for competitions.
What is an Associate Membership? +
Associate memberships are for supporters who want to be part of the SHA community. Associates receive member updates and event access but do not compete in events.
